2. From Pithoragarh to Munsiyari

• From Pithoragarh, the next important base is Munsiyari, which is about 125 km away.
• The road journey takes 5–6 hours, passing through scenic valleys, pine forests, and rivers.
• Munsiyari is known as the "Gateway to Johar Valley" and serves as the starting point for several Himalayan treks.

3. Trekking Route towards Lampiya Dhura

• From Munsiyari, trekkers follow the route towards Milam Glacier.
• The trekking path passes through villages such as Lilam, Bogudiar, Martoli, Burfu, and Milam.

  This season is not suitable for trekking due to heavy rainfall, slippery paths, and the risk of landslides. The cloud cover also blocks the mountain views.
• Autumn (September to October):
  This is another excellent season to visit. The skies are clear, the weather is cool, and the mountains offer breathtaking views. After October, snowfall begins again, making the pass inaccessible.
• Winter (November to April):
  The pass remains covered in deep snow and is extremely difficult to access. Temperatures drop far below freezing. Only experienced mountaineers with proper equipment can attempt during this time.
