Haridwar city is the gateway to the Gods place and it is situated on the bank of the holy river Ganga. It is one of the seven sacred cities of India. Har-Ki-Pauri

Har Ki Pauri is regarded as one of the most scared Ghats in Haridwar. It is visited by devotees and visitors seeking the blessings of holy river Ganga from all over the country. People believe that the place has a mark of Lord Vishnu’s footprint on a stone wall and it is even present today. The sound of Aarti on the Ganges bank in the evening and chanting of mantras and prayers takes one to an entirely different spiritual world. The famous Kumbh Mela is also held in Haridwar after every 12 years. Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV) is an Indian university located at Shantikunj. It was established in 2002 as a fully residential university. DSVV is run by Shri Vedmata Gayatri Trust, Shantikunj, Haridwar. It is also the headquarters of All World Gayatri Pariwar. Patanjali Yogpeeth is a vision of renowned yoga practitioner Swami Ramdev. Patanjali Yogpeeth is a medical and research institute dedicated to propagate the values and benefits of traditional Yoga and Ayurveda. Chandi Devi Temple

Chandi Devi temple is built by Adi Shankaracharya and is one of the most ancient temples in Haridwar. Chandi Devi Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Chandi Devi and it is situated on the top of Neel Parvat. The temple is a very famous pilgrim destination and witness’s devotees from all parts of the country throughout the year. It is believed to be a Siddh Peeth where people desires get fulfilled. There is a pond beside the temple which has medicinal values and it is also an idle place for trekking lovers.

Mansa Devi Temple

The word Mansa means wish, and people firmly believe that the goddess Mansa fulfils the wishes of their devotees, who visited the temple. The temple is dedicated to goddess Mansa devi and is situated at Bilwa Parvat. Goddess Mansa Devi is originated from the mind of Rishi Kashyap.

There is a ropeway service available and it is a preferred choice to reach the temple. Services like food court, drinking water, refreshment counters, resting areas and car parking are available. It is heavily crowded and visited by large number of devotees during the Navratri festival.

Daksh Mahadev Temple

Daksha Mahadev temple is also known as Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple. It is situated in the south Kankhal town in Haridwar. It is at a distance of 6 km from Haridwar city. It is also one of the five sacred temple sites in the city.

The Daksha Mahadev Temple is visited by large number of pilgrimage during the holy month of Saavan as per Hindu calender. It is named after king Daksha Prajapati, who was the father of Devi Sati.

The nearest domestic airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun which is located at a distance of 35 km from Haridwar. Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi is the nearest International Airport which is located at 220 km from the city. The Airport is well connected to Delhi with daily flights.

Railway

Haridwar Railway station has a good connectivity with the other towns of the district and the state. It is well connected with the major cities of the country such as Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Patna, Gaya, Varanasi, Allahabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Puri, and many other major cities. Trains to and from Haridwar Railway station are frequent and at regular intervals.
