Day 2: Journey to Joshimath via Scenic Routes

  • Today, we embark on a picturesque drive to Joshimath, covering approximately 255 kilometers. The journey may take around 9 hours due to the scenic routes and stops along the way.
  • During your drive, you will have the opportunity to visit Nandprayag and Karnprayag, two of the "Panch Prayag" (five sacred confluences) of Uttarakhand.
  • In the evening, you will reach Joshimath, where you can check in to your accommodation and unwind.
  • Take some time to explore the sacred sites of Shankar Math and Narsingh Temple in Joshimath.
  • Enjoy a delicious dinner and settle in for an overnight stay in Joshimath.

Day 3: Adventure from Joshimath to Ghangria

  • After a wholesome breakfast at your hotel, it's time to check out and embark on your next adventure.
  • You will drive for approximately 20 kilometers to reach Govindghat, your starting point for the day's trek.
  • Along the route, make a stop at Vishnuprayag, where the mighty Alaknanda River meets the Dhauliganga River, forming a magnificent confluence.
  • From Govindghat, the real adventure begins with a 13-kilometer trek to Ghangria, a picturesque village nestled in the heart of the Himalayas.
  • As the day winds down, enjoy a delectable dinner and spend a restful night in Ghangria.

Day 4: Exploring the Valley of Flowers

  • Rise and shine to a hearty breakfast in Ghangria.
  • Today, you'll embark on a 5-kilometer trek to the captivating Valley of Flowers, located to the east of Badrinath. This unique valley takes on a conical shape and is adorned with the meandering Pushpawati River, earning its designation as a national park.
  • Spend the day taking in the extraordinary natural beauty of the valley, where you'll encounter a stunning variety of colorful and rare flora.
  • As evening approaches, make your way back to Ghangria, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner and another comfortable overnight stay.

Day 5: Descending to Govindghat and Journey to Srinagar

  • Following breakfast, it's time to retrace your steps by trekking back to Govindghat.
  • From Govindghat, you'll drive to Srinagar, a distance of approximately 160 kilometers, which should take about 5 hours.
  • For those who choose not to visit Tungnath Temple, there's an option to explore Ukhimath Temple and its nearby attractions, dependent on road conditions.
  • Conclude your day with a satisfying dinner and a peaceful night's rest in Rudraprayag.

Day 6: Final Leg of the Journey to Dehradun Airport via Devprayag

  • Start your day with a wholesome breakfast, and then check out from your hotel in Rudraprayag.
  • The final stretch of your journey will take you to Dehradun Airport, approximately 120 kilometers away, and you should reach it in around 3 hours.
  • Along the way, make a stop in Devprayag, a place of spiritual significance where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers merge to form the holy Ganges River.
  • At Dehradun Airport, you will catch your flight to your onward destination, marking the end of this memorable and spiritually enriching journey.
